Terms of Service

Portfolio Copilot is an informational tool that helps you understand how market events, news, and company filings relate to the stocks and ETFs you hold. It aggregates public market data and news, and uses artificial intelligence to summarise and contextualise that information against the holdings you enter.

Portfolio Copilot is not a broker, exchange, investment adviser, research analyst, portfolio manager, or financial institution. We do not execute trades, hold funds or securities, or manage money on your behalf.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@getportfoliocopilot.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

• Use the service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure.
• Do not resell, redistribute, or republish market data, news content, or AI output obtained through the service.
• Do not upload unlawful content or use the service to harass, defraud, or infringe the rights of others.
• Do not use automated systems to submit requests at a volume that degrades the service for others.
• Verify any information independently before acting on it.

Substantial parts of the product — daily briefs, “why it matters” explanations, report insights, and Assistant responses — are generated by large language models. AI output is probabilistic and may be inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or misleading, and may occasionally state something confidently that is simply wrong.

You should treat every AI output as a starting point for your own research, never as a conclusion. Always verify material facts against primary sources such as official exchange filings and company disclosures.

Nothing on Portfolio Copilot constitutes financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. No content on the platform is a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy, sell, or hold any security, nor an endorsement of any investment strategy. We do not consider your financial situation, objectives, risk tolerance, or needs.

Investing in securities involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. Past performance is not indicative of future results. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions and should consult a qualified, licensed financial adviser before acting.

Prices, holdings valuations, news, and filings are sourced from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Values shown in the app are indicative only and should not be relied upon for transactions, tax filings, or reconciliation with your broker’s records.

We aim for high availability but provide the service on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, add, or discontinue features at any time, and may impose usage limits on resource-intensive features such as AI generation. Planned maintenance and unplanned outages may interrupt access.

Portfolio Copilot, including its software, design, brand, logo, and original content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for its intended purpose.

You retain ownership of the data you enter, including your portfolio holdings. You grant us the limited licence needed to process that data to operate the service for you.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Portfolio Copilot and its operators are not liable for any investment losses, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including reliance on AI output or third-party market data.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or INR 1,000.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Portfolio Copilot and its operators from any claims, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, create security or legal risk, or abuse the service. On termination, your licence to use the service ends and your data is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts located in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be communicated in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
